Diplomat Issues for the New Administration

Russia

It seems as though a new Cold-War could be warming up as Russia has vowed to deploy missiles close to the site that the United States will put anti-missile systems and they have sent their largest Air craft carriers into the Pacific to participate in military exercises with Chavez's Venezuela.

The new Obama administration must diplomatically solve this new and increased tension between two old rivals. Russia is set to reclaim it's super power status within twenty years and has considerable global weight and resources.

We must foster an era of peace not belligerance

The Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of America

This passed Wednesday the world waited holding it's breath for the inauguration of the United States fourty-fourth president. As he spoke the oath of office, word by word he carried the faith and hope of millions of Americans and the world to bring about the rapid change of what can be seen as a lost era of American society in which the prestige and honor of one of the world's most powerful of juggernauts has been waning and being eclipsed by the weight of these uncertain and trying times.

One can look clearly at this and see that the naturally skeptical citizens of this great country are not lauding the new administration simply because it has now become fashionable, but due to the fact that they solemly and diligently pray that the new administration can in essence fix and reform what has led to this crisis.

Let us look toward the things that this administration can do to shore up world wide confidence in this country and to forever alter the political, economic and diplomatic climate of the world over the next few weeks.

Israeli-Palestinian Conflict History (Pt.1)

This major unsolvable conflict that has plagued the Middle East perhaps will not be solved in the foreseeable future, but it stems from many things in the past and I feel that the world needs a condensed version of this history.

The Ottoman Empire

As you can see, it encompasses many of the countries which are today known as the middle east. After World War I this country collapsed having survived for 7 long centuries. The British and the French trying to fulfill their imperialists ambitions draw lots to which land belongs to whom and in essence cause this whole mess. Not only does this directly tie with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it also is to blame for the current situation in Iraq to a degree with the sectarian violence.

The British Mandate for Palestine

The British anxious to keep this area a way from the French issue the Mandate for Palestine to the League of Nations (precursor to the United Nations) and receive the okay in which they planned to offer the Jews, one of the most hated groups of people in Europe, a homeland. Of course, the Arab's living in British Palestine at the moment opposed the idea because they thought that the land was theirs and they did not enjoy the idea of possibly living with the Jews.

Instead, the Arab's of British Palestine lobby for this area to become part of the French Mandate of Syria. They later formed a national movement to combat the terms of the British Mandate and Aref Pasha Dajani, the mayor of Jerusalem during World War I made the claim that, "their (the jews') history and their past proves that it is impossible to live with them. In all the countries where they are at present, they are not wanted..."

The case of the Arabs and the Jews was ultimately heard at the Paris Peace Conference and the British Mandate was accepted. With that said, the main issues taken into account at the conference were those of Britain and France rather than the inhabitants.

Introduction

So one day I was on Facebook and saw a friend of mine's status update where he joined the group, "The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster". As soon as I saw it I had to come up with something witty and that is where, "The Church of the Hungry Italian" was born.

I will discuss the following things.
  1. Current World Events
  2. Politics
  3. Religion
  4. Culture
Which are pretty much all of the things that causes peoples' blood to boil and I will do so as unbiased as I can and then offer my opinion on the matter.
